How deceiving names can be! The construction of our “little bakery” in 1993 was, in fact, nothing less than building what was for a long time the largest single stand at the Essen Christmas Market. With eight by eight meters, our stand gave us unique opportunities for oven-fresh culinary delights right from the start. Claus-Dieter and Sabine Müller created something truly special back then.
Generations of Christmas market visitors have shown their appreciation with their loyalty to this day.
Since 2022, the “Little Bakery” has been part of our nearly 400 square meter X-Mas Lounge & Café, and we still make everything fresh on-site. Come visit us.
What’s special about our bakery to this day is that we produce everything we offer completely by ourselves, right here on the premises.
From the dough to the chocolate coating, we craft all delicacies with great skill and carefully selected ingredients, always fresh. We are a professional confectionery business.
The most outstanding product is the Baumkuchen, the king of confectionery craftsmanship. We make the Baumkuchen with the finest ingredients in an elaborate process on-site, right in the middle of the Christmas market, in our bakery, and then traditionally coat it with the finest couverture or fondant.
This is absolutely unique! Come and see for yourself, because Baumkuchen is rarely baked in this form anymore. Unfortunately, nowadays it usually comes from factories rather than from artisanal businesses.
